By contrast, non-digital (or analog) systems use a continuous range of values to represent information. Although digital representations are discrete, the information represented can be either discrete, such as numbers, letters or icons, or continuous, such as sounds, images, and other measurements of continuous systems. The word digital comes from the same source as the word digit and digitus (the Latin word for finger), as fingers are used for discrete counting. The word digital is most commonly used in computing and electronics, especially where real-world information is converted to binary numeric form as in digital audio and digital photography. GNU Free Documentation License Is there anything a Digital camera can never replace in a Film camera? Q. A few years ago, people wondered whether they should go film or digital. Most of the reasons to go for film had to do with price, and the equipment you need. But after a few years, it became clear that for the average person, there was very little reason to buy film cameras instead of digital ones. The only thing I can think of that a digital camera can't ever replace is that some film cameras don't need energy. The quality of photos from this camera are on par with others I've tried worth 300-400 dollars. I'd consider this a wise investment.
