How do I register the intellectual property of an investment project?
Q. I have finished an investment project for a Logistics Activities Area. It's more or less like a group of warehouses providing services as 3rd party logistics providers for companies in international commerce. It is oriented to trucking, because it's the main (almost only) transport mode in Mercosur. I need to register the intellectual property before starting to offer it for sale. I live in Uruguay but I intend to sell the project worldwide. How do i register it? Is it valid to register it as a book? May I register at least the layout of the complex and the architecture? I am the only author of the project, which is my thesis work in Industrial Engineering. 1. Where do you want to register? At the Mercosur countries (Argentina, Brazil,… [cont.]
Asked by Carlos Sosa - Thu Sep 21 09:24:23 2006 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The first questions are: 1. Where do you want to register? 2. What do you want to register? 3. How do you plan to use the IP? The three basic types of intellectual property are copyrights, trademarks and patents. Depending on which you want to register and the country or countries in which you want to register, you'll be headed in different directions. The best advice for now is to consult an intellectual property attorney, who can give you specific advice relating to your project.

How do you register a cockapoo with the ACC? How do you know if your cockapoo is breeding stock?
Q. I sent an email to their site, but according to their information if you want to register your dog you have to sign up as a breeder. I've been doing a lot of research, and out of love for these dogs would like to help contribute to having them recognized by the AKC as a breed. To do this you need to breed down 4 generations of top quality dogs and have a petition of some sort signed. To breed an AKC registered dog I know you have to show them and win awards to prove they are of good breeding quality, but how do I go about doing this for cockapoos? I can't show my lovely puppy because he isn't AKC registered, so how do I know and future owners know they are of quality stock? By the ACC standards on their website my pup has the correct… [cont.]

A. Don't waste your time or money with the likes of ACC. They are one of several scam registries. They aren't a legit registry. They are a registry created by BYB/mills in order to "register" dogs who aren't registerable with a legit registry for various reasons or whose breeders/owners aren't able to do business with a legit registry because of suspensions.Of course they want you to register as a breeder this is how they continue their scams and promote irresponsible breeding. There is no "real" standard for a Cockapoo. They are a mix that has been being "bred" for at least 40 years and to this day they don't breed true. A Cockapoo is nothing more then a mix..a mutt..they should not be delibrately bred. They are one of many designer "breeds"… [cont.]

how would you register a stud that is half tennessee walker and half arabian?
Q. I am purchasing a stud colt thats fathered by a Tennesse Walker and mothered by an Arabian. I want to be able to use him someday as a stud horse, but I want him registered if I can. I am just unsure what I would register him as. Any advice would be appreciated.

A. I know you are excited about your new horse, but, In my humble opinion, do yourself and the horse world a favor and geld this colt. First off, even if you were to register him as a half Arab, what attributes does this horse have to the Arab breed or any mare owners in general? Second, he would have no merit in the TWH world either, so why would you want all the extra work involved with owning a stallion? I don't know where you are located, but in some areas, you will require additional insurance to keep a stallion, not to mention other things like double fenced pastures and other stallion safety precautions. So why do this? These types of situations only add to the equine overpopulation problem and no real good can come of this. Sorry, [cont.]

How much does it cost to register a passenger vehicle in your province or state?
Q. Here in Alberta, Canada a non-commercial passenger vehicle costs $69. a year to register. That fee covers the auto license only; no insurance. For that meagre fee, one can register the tiniest Smart Car to the most obscene Hummer. I want to compare that rate to the cost of registering a vehicle around North America, especially sliding rates, those that depend on the size of the vehicle.
Asked by denrus - Mon Feb 12 09:10:46 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Some states have a flat fee for registration, others have a complicated and convoluted formula for figuring it out. In my state, Oklahoma for an example: Flat fee, value and age: $15.00 plus 1.25% of the factory delivered price. Fee for 2nd through 12th year is $15.00 plus 90 percent of the previous year's percentage fee. The fee will be the same for the 12th year through the 20th year. A $1.75 admin. fee and a $3.00 general revenue fund fee are included in columns (2) through (4). The $15.00 registration fee is eliminated for vehicles 21 years or older. If you'd like to see it for other states, I've included a table here:

A. You can go back to Thomas Jefferson to see when the 2 party system developed. The beliefs of each party is largely the same as it was then. One party believes in a strong central government with restricted powers of the state. The other party believes in a limited central government and strong state powers. While serving as a cabinet member for George Washington, Thomas Jefferson came to distrust the politics of another member, Alexander Hamilton who was Secretary of State. Hamilton favored strong federal government at the expense of the states. Jefferson preferred a weaker federal government and strong states. These 2 men developed followers which became the first political parties, the Federalists (Hamilton) and Democrat-Republica [cont.]

A. You just have to contact the Shop Act Guys and have a shop act liscense. That is enough since yours is a proprietory concern. This is what happens in Maharashtra.

When registering to vote is it necessary to register for a specific party to vote in the genral election?
Q. Okay so I have never voted before and this is my first time registering as well. So I just want to make sure do I have to register for party so that my vote would count in the general election? Oh and I am in texas.

A. A voter does not register by party in Texas but becomes affiliated with a party by voting in that party s primary. The voter is affiliated with that party until December 31 of that year when the affiliation expires. That means that if you vote in one party primary, you are required to vote with the same party if there is a primary runoff, for example. In the general election, a voter can vote for any party, regardless of affiliation, because all candidates are on the same ballot.

How do I register to vote in the general election?
Q. I am currently a University student who lives away from home. Whilst at university I completed a registering to vote form (in which I believe I requested to be registered at my home town). As I now spend much more of my time at university I wish to vote there. How do I go about changing this? If I register at my University City does it matter that I'm already registered at home?

A. All you have to do is contact the Local Authority where your university is and request that they register you to vote there instead of your home town. Yes, it does mater, if you are registered at home you will not be able to vote where you are living now, if you contact the local authority now you may be able to change electoral roles. I think it may be to late though but its worth a try so 'Depechy vous' ATB Red
